Me in eight words (ok, so it’s 14, I cheated!):
Collaborator | Communicator | Courage crusader | Cheeky cheerleader | Healthy habits ninja | Sunshine bringer | Foodie | Turnaround coach
A corporate escapee
I have over 25 years experience of working in food and hospitality leadership roles with brand leaders such as British Airways and Weight Watchers. I am proud to say I had many fantastic foodie experiences managing the PR and communications for the Roux Scholarship, supporting the Roux family to find the talented young chefs of the future.
People development has always been my passion. A certified professional coach, I enjoy coaching and collaborating with like-minded people in the communications world and beyond.
Living my life
I’m married to David who is mad about Arsenal and me. We moved to Anchorage, Alaska from the UK in March 2018. It’s an exciting, adventure – everything is new and different. I’m enjoying exploring, making new friends and creating a new home and a new life.
I feel uplifted outdoors in the sunshine and I’ve joined a hiking group where I’m meeting lovely people and discovering many beautiful places. Amazing mountains surround Anchorage; you can see them from everywhere. Their vast steady presence is grounding through all the changes going on. Anytime I feel anxious I take inspiration from the resilience of the mountains that remain steady and majestic throughout all the changing seasons.
I’m a global traveler, life long learner, avid reader and writer. I‘m learning to meditate and slow down to be more mindful in the moment – some days are better than others!
I have a degree in Catering and Applied Nutrition, a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies, I’m a certified co-active coach (CPCC) with the Coaches Training Institute (CTI) and an NLP Practitioner. I’ve signed up for CTI’s Leadership course in California, starting September 2018.
